I didn't get the job. 😞 HR chickypoo gave me all the platitudes about me being a strong candidate and that they agonized between me and the other guy.

Meanwhile my old job was filled at the dealership, so I'm an actual unemployed bum until further notice. Fun.

I always assumed they did credit checks because if you had bad credit you were more likely to have money problems. If you had money problems you were more likely to attempt to siphon money from your employer.

And when I say more likely……more likely than someone with good credit.

The casino ran a credit check when I applied for dealer school. I don’t know if it’s because of the state gaming license requirements. I had to list my creditors also.

Yeah, I've done a bit of that and guitar work over the last 2 months. It's way irregular and I'd rather not go back to having to hustle for every little bit of income. I did it for 5 years and I wasn't especially good at growing the hustle.

No. I think I'm going to do some managerial economics or business analytics course while I wait for a better opportunity to show up. I got spousal approval to take my time (she mostly hopes I don't go back to a job that requires me to work Saturdays.)

I feel like a free-floating bum. Sometimes it feels good, sometimes bad. Heh.

Elon says that Universal High Income is coming. I'm just a bit ahead of the times.
