Spotlight Moment: Mudcat
I can admit that since the very first time I read a Mudcat post I was hooked. I was completely and utterly lost in exactly what he was saying but the way he said it totally connected with something inside me.
Mudcat possesses the ability to say absolutely nothing or the most in-depth profound and astute thing youve ever heard and in either case you cant really know for sure which it was, you just know youve been touched somehow.
The man is capable of bringing you to tears with heartfelt tender melodies to his sister at her wedding. He bore his soul and exposed himself in a rare moment caught on video that depicts a man who at that very moment isnt concerned with what anyone else thinks, he loves his sister and he conveys his message in song.
Just as quickly he releases another song and though I admit I didnt fully understand all the lyrics (sound quality issues) or grasp completely the meaning of the song I was still touched by the passion in which Mudcat delivered it.
Certainly there are times when I find myself not fully agreeing with Mudcat but usually its because he has lost me. He can at times post on such elevated levels that unless you were part of his sub-conscious mind its doubtful you will understand him either. Thats the beauty of Mudcat though. Even if you arent sure what he just said youre fairly certain it was accurate and probably articulate in an abbreviate existential sort of way.
We might go through our entire posting lives and never again be graced with the likes of Mudcat. Someone who enables us to appreciate just how little we actually know or are capable of comprehending. Someone who can assume the most mundane of life chores and completely meditate on its merits. Someone who can with a single word reduces you to rubble or promote you to existential heights.
Muddy, I cant speak for anyone but myself, but for me, I doubt if ever I will encounter another such as yourself. I can search forums all over this great big web and will be hard pressed to find anyone that makes me scratch my head more often and not get so frustrated that Ill never read them again. You are truly a unique individual and deserve a Spotlight Moment.
