Muddy, you seem very open-minded and I get the impression that you might possibly try anything once....So what I am trying to ask is, would you ever let roguescholar, ..well you know.?

If you mean what I think you mean - and I think you do - no offense intended to RS but no. I am a pretty humdrum straight guy.

Get together and play music? Yes, definitely.

You-know-what? No.

Busy weekend so far. I am trying to move forward with my music project so, in order to upgrade my recording studio software I had to upgrade my operating system - yada, yada, yada - I ended up buying a new computer. Which I am using right now. It's cool. But there is a lot of set up to figure out.

And I had a bunch of other errands and chores.

Last night I had a first date with a beautiful Romanian girl that I met online. Incredible girl, inside and out. I can't even allow myself to think it could work out because it seems too good to be true. And it's way too soon to think that way anyway but we talked for 4.5 hours. Towards the end of it she talked about different things we should do together in the future so I guess we are going to keep getting to know each other.

So the rest of the weekend is trying to make progress on the home recording studio and also following up with beautiful Corina in some way.

Yes. Not that that means much. The only thing to do is take the next online exam - which I will. That will probably be ~ next February.

You need to pass - I would be amazed if I didn't - then you just wait and hope you get invited to an audition.

The odds are against it but I've made it that far 3 times before so it's possible. If it happens, you wait and hope some more for the actual call to the show. Odds are about 6-1 against at that point.

But yeah, I'll keep taking the exam every year. Can't think of any reason not to.

I'll post it here when they announce the exact dates in case anyone else wants to take a shot too.

I have just about recovered from my MacDonalds experience. Just a bit of residual gas at this point.

Last year was my third audition. I have had them in Toronto, Los Angeles and Boston.

Regarding my anecdotes/biography, I had the good sense to type them up and save them in a word file around the time of the Boston audition so if the situation arises again, I will have a solid starting point.

I finallyyyyy listened to various songs on your youtube channel today. My so far favorite is "When I come home to you." I also like the beginning of "I'm in the Universe," but mom came in started chatting so I am going to have to revisit that one. This could change, as I have not listened to them all. I am listening to the covers along with the originals, so may take a while. Good stuff!

Thanks! I had forgotten When I Come Home To You. That was written for a friend's wedding. I was the best man and I played it there. Have barely thought about it since. That's why it's good to have a YouTube channel - so stuff isn't lost.

We are no longer friends. Not because of the song. Other stuff.

So it goes.

I liked the one for your sister's wedding also, but I couldn't hear it as well. Do you have another recording of that one?

I agree on the Youtube channel==.not that I have talented stuff like yours on mine, but I don't like my stupid pet tricks and other misc. junk to get lost.

No I don't have another one of the sister's wedding song. I'm lucky to even have that one. I didn't know someone was recording it and then apparently there were tricky issues of converting it between media.

I do love that video though. Very meaningful event. Pretty sure that was my first video which kicked off my channel which of course has gone on to become the powerhouse mega-force you see today.

Yes..it looked meaningful. I say looked because it was kind of difficult to hear, and I felt sort of like I was eavesdropping on a private affair so I didn't strain too hard. I heard a short exchange between you and your brother in law which was nice.

When you write these songs for certain events (like the two weddings, ) are these songs you had been working on that you sort of converted into songs for the occasion? ...or did you write them with the specific occasion in mind....and if so, how long does something like that take?
