Tron have you seen the new Queen movie yet? Thoughts?

Breaking Bad movie should be awesome. Vince can do no wrong right now. He is writing, executive producing, and (possibly) directing from what I have heard.

Haven’t seen it yet but I definitely want to see it. It’s getting decent reviews (although many reviewers say they played it safe).

The Farthest - 7.9/10 Boners

Pretty decent documentary about NASA's Voyager program. Hard to believe these little guys launched over 40 years ago. They're still trucking - the only man made object to leave our solar system. Incredible that the tech from 40 years ago is doing all that and we're still "struggling" to explore our next door neighbor, Mars.

Here's another thing that makes me feel old. I am looking at the TCM listings - that's Classic Movies - where I generally expect Bette Davis, Humphrey Bogart, Spencer Tracy yada yada. I expect stuff before I was born. I expect a history lesson.

And there is a movie from smack dab in my prime. Like, in my 20's.

My life is a remnant of a quaint past.

I checked out the Coen Brothers' latest, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (2018).

I liked it, I'll say that. I would also have to say that, among Coen Bros.' stuff, it is probably towards the bottom. But given how high an opinion I have of the whole Coen Bros. catalog - with the exception of Hail Caesar - it can be toward the bottom and still be good. Which it is. It will definitely be rewatched in the not-too-distant future.

It feels like a bit of a place-holder though. It is a collection of 6 short stories, not a single feature. While they are enjoyable stories - often thoughtful - to me anyway - it is not the same. So given that the Coens' last two works are this and Hail Caesar, I would like to see them get back to more traditional Coen stuff. Just do a solid, regular thing.

But it's pretty good. 7.3 out of 10

Did a proper Entire Season Sunday Binge of The Haunting of Hill House.

Wish I could have that day back.

5.5

Just started my 3rd Breaking Bad...well 2nd research 2nd viewing. Camt wait to meet Tico again. (I think his name?) TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT.

Through 2 episodes of the new season of Narcos.

Mexico violence >>>>> Colombia violence so shit will go down.

Coincidentally, I have also just started rewatching Breaking Bad. It's my second viewing.

My primary reaction after episode 1: I am surprised how lacking in subtlety it is. It's good - but very broad in approach.

I guess a few years of Better Call Saul has trained me to expect things a certain way - but it's not that way.

Not yet anyway.

I think I’m going to watch all 7 or 8 seasons of All In The Family. I’ve probsbly only seen about half of the episodes.

not sure which season is what, but like most it gets kinda meh towards the end. Michael and Gloria move into the house next door I believe. ..That show depressed me as a kid. I didn't appreciate the comedy in it back then, and Archie looked frail. In fact all of em seemed sad and miserable. But later I developed an appreciation for it, mostly Archie's character

Vice (12-25-2018)

Looks good.

Christian Bale gained 40 lbs for the role.

Comedians in Cars is just sad. All of our comedy heroes (maybe with the exception of Jerry) are so fucked up and exist so far outside reality it's disheartening.
