King's Speech was good. Not going to say it wasn't great, but I felt it might have been a bit overrated. Not that it wasn't well done, with an interesting story line and I absolutely love almost everything with Geoffrey Rush and he was magnificent but I really don't know how many times I could watch this film. I think certain movies fit in this category. Great the first time but aren't great to keep watching over and over again. It's just a hunch. I can always watch it again in a year or two and let you know. It's a must see, just not sure it's a "greatest of all-time" kind of film.

Rules of Attraction I could watch once a week.

In terms of recent movies viewed to discuss, I just have one:

Inside Job - This is a documentary about the 2008 financial collapse and the circumstances that caused it. I thought it did a good job of explaining things in a way I could understand - Financial Armageddon for Dummies - and all presented with the cool, sexy narration of Matt Damon. Taken at face value, it can't help but make you angry. Many people who caused the very serious shit that happened and who should really be in jail are still making megabucks running the same companies - or making policy for the government. Changes and regulations which are happening around the world are being resisted in the US which was the epicenter of the problem. It's baffling and infuriating.

However the one caveat is that I really don't follow economics closely so I don't know if it is giving a very one-sided, sensationalistic view. It didn't seem so. The political criticism was bipartisan.

Anyway, it was interesting and educational. The subject matter could have gotten very dry but they did a decent job of keeping me alert. I give it a 7/10.

Inside Job was fantastic. I've made a lot of my friends watch it and we all are pretty amazed by how well done it is. We all already knew the facts laid out, but to say it done in such a concise and clear manner was terrific. And the scenes of him trapping these people is just priceless. No, it's not one sided. There's really no debate as to the facts outlayed in that film. It was that fucked up.

King's Speech....excellent movie.

cougs, if i gave you a list of 10,000 sbr posters and asked you to rate them 1-10 in the categories of intelligence, attractiveness, and maturity. 1=richkas and 10= mf........... you would have to have 1,000 10's in each category right? common lol....fuck the bell curve
