A recruiting agency reached out on Indeed about a sales position today, and it quickly became clear that their messages were AI generated. I was sent a link to a prescreening questionnaire which warned me not to use AI to answer the questions because their AI would detect that I'm using AI.



AI video interview tomorrow with a cute Asian AI lady.

The interviewer was a real person in the end. She spoke super fast and was visibly in a rush. I think it went well. Now we wait for the next interview with the employer themself.

2nd inferview is on Thursday with the CEO of the Canadian subsidiary and the export manager back at the parent company in Germany. This is looking good boys.

I would travel to Germany for training. Excited.

No sir, inside sales role. Job description calls for 3 days at the office (which is 15-20 mins away) and 2 days at home, but the Canadian subsidiary/office is brand new so I assume they'll be flexible.

Had my 3rd interview this morning, 2nd one with the CEO. Seems like a great guy - I'd be reporting directly to him.

Pretty sure this is happening. Excited for it, they're in startup mode and it looks like there's lots of room for growth.

I shall know later this week whether I got it or not. But I got it, I'm 99% certain.

Nah this is still an entry-level sales job, just within a flat hierarchy. But I guess it wouldn't be impossible further down the line. Joe Rain has been offered equity at his sales rep job when he threatened to quit recently (he still quit).

I think I might want to do some sort of continuing education MBA program if things go well there. The CEO and I hit it off and he did something like that to grow at his previous role.

I'm a very very late bloomer. It still baffles me that we expect people to decide on a career at like 17yo, and that a lot of people actually do that. It's way too young to pick a lane IMO. But I realize that I'm the weird one for thinking that.
