At least pawn stars a little bit likeable and try to exhibit some knowledge of history etc..
 
Hardcore Pawn is focused more on the customers and not the items. It is located on 8 Mile in Detroit, right where the rough area starts. They (the Golds)are not the brightest compared to the LV people. It's probably less scripted compared to PS. Ex- Red Wing Darren McCarty was a security guard there.
 
I used to like Hardcore Pawn. Way too scripted to enjoy anymore.
