BTW 195.6 this morning

:174:

Booked an appt with a physiotherapist. Have a bad case of frozen shoulder/capsulitis. Thought it might be related to keto but Joe Rain says he got the same thing in both shoulders a few years ago. Certain movements, like reaching up to the chin up bar, cause searing pain (yet I can do the actual chin-ups no problem.) I also have to sleep in very specific positions to avoid the pain. Very annoying.

I’m dealing with this type of old guy nonsense, too

My bicipital tendon that runs up to my left shoulder occasionally pops out of the groove.

Orthopedic doc said the only way to repair it is pin it down via surgery

Starting to understand why it's extremely hard to be a competitive athlete past your mid-30's.

Exercise is a chore for me. I want to get from point A to point B as quickly and efficiently as possible and I'm willing to sacrifice the pleasantries. No one can deny that calorie for calorie it's more efficient to just ride a flywheel at home. But I get it, some peeps like a little cream with their coffee. More power to ya.

And Blitty - scoping dogs (and being scoped) is a plus, not a negative.

I just tackled at 15% grade hill. It was just over 150 yards long but holy fuck. Had to use the granny ring.

I bought this bike used when I moved here last year.

How do the specs compare to yours?

used bike for sale 1

Looks like the same kind of deal as mine, just newer. Big box store bike with reliable entry-level components and an aluminum frame. I'm sure it's a fine bike. Doesn't matter for what we use them for.

Edit - I was looking at someone's modified bike. You actually have a granny ring/3rd chainring.

Does it? That's neat if it does. Mind checking how much it weighs? (Weigh yourself with it.) I bought an old carbon fork to upgrade my damaged steel one, it should shave a couple pounds off my hefty (26.5lbs) Lambo.

Yah that's the review I read. Cool to hear that he was able keep up with fancier bikes over an actual race/event. Looks like a fine steed.

Doesn’t a carbon fiber fork cost more than that bike does brand new :dunno:

I’ve never even test ridden a carbon fiber bike because I know I’ll never want to get back on my bike.

The only carbon fiber on my bike are my two bottle cages :lolpanda:

You can get a carbon fork on Amazon for less than $100.

I got a carbon seatpost and seat for peanuts (CA$50 total), they shaved almost a pound off the bike.

I'm sure it's not the same grade as what you get from top brands, but it's light and seems super strong. 🤷‍♂️
