Muddy, somewhere you said you eat very healthy. But then all you ever talk about eating is hamburger, steak, bagged milk, cupcakes, wings and ice cream. What gives?

Not a bad point. I mean, the skim milk is not unhealthy - and I think I have had ice cream once in the last year - but there is some inconsistency to the healthiness of my eating. I may be kidding myself when I imagine I eat healthy.

I feel like I am somewhat healthy because I eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. I have some combination of fresh tomatoes, lettuce, onion with dinner almost every day. I have a banana most days (see related thread). Apples, oranges. I eat a lot of lean barbecued meat, usually just with garlic. No sauces and stuff. I don't eat nearly as much processed and packaged stuff for my meals as most people in our society, I don't think.

I occasionally have bad foods like chicken wings but it is in moderation. The one thing I have in my regular rotation that may not be too good is hot Italian sausages. I have those about once a week - with fresh veggies and all that. Not sure how (un)healthy that might be.

However I am a snack fiend. Starting about 9 in the evening I just pile on with the chips and pretzel bits and cheezies and many types of chocolate. My behavior towards my evening snacking is borderline addictive. I'm sure that's not healthy.

So yeah, truth is, I'm not sure where I stand on the overall healthy spectrum.

You def have a sweet toof, muddy. Always talking about sweet stuff. I rarely eat sweets.

Don't know where you got that idea.

Mudcat, take us through a day in the life of Mudcat.

Let's do a weekday.

You know, what time do you wake up. Typical breakfast. How many cups (if any) of coffee. Give us the Mudcat routine. Posting habits, etc.

No rush. No Wally shot clock. When you get around to it.

This is probably not going to be particularly electrifying but ok.

If I have no meetings/appointments, and I am girlfriend free, as I seem to be at this moment, a weekday would go about like this.

~8 am - wake up and start up the coffee maker (which was set up the day before) and computers. Do typical bathroom stuff and take meds/vitamins.

~8:15 - get first of 3 coffees which will all be drank in succession and be done by ~10. Check emails, currency conversion rate. Update research spreadsheets (these days that is MLB scores for full game and 1st/2nd halfs, who will score first? prop, will there be a score in the first inning? prop and H+R+E). Update betting spreadsheet and check that sportsbook accounts have been properly adjusted.

~9 - check gamelive.

9:30 - 4:45 - discretionary time. Circumstances dictate how that time is spent. These days checking job listings and sending out resumes and/or making related calls is a priority. Other activities that happen in there: gathering spreadsheet data/lines for the coming day's games, possibly there are some bets to place early, spreadsheet analysis, some exercise (most often, a roundabout bike ride to the store and back and/or shoot some hoops), play/write some music, some "Jeopardy training" is always sprinkled in there, chores such as shower/shave/laundry, possibly some business related stuff such as chasing sportsbooks or going to the bank/sending Western Unions/MG's.

Several gamelive breaks sprinkled throughout.

I don't eat breakfast per se. Throughout that discretionary time I will generally have some combo of cereal, bananas, raisin toast and peanut butter, broiled cheese on toast, could be anything.

4:45 - dinner preparation

5 - 6 - eat dinner while watching Primetime Sports and then Pardon The Interruption. Program the VCR for the evenings viewing.

6 - 7:30ish - place wagers and check gamelive

evening - varies. I might have some kind of social activity like shooting pool or playing cards. Without the girlfriend, I have more evenings at home. I might do some more music and/or do some more "Jeopardy training" and/or get some more exercise. I might watch a movie. I might get ambitious and send out some more resumes or do some extra spreadsheet crunching. I might fart around on gamelive. Snack binge from ~9:30 to 11:30. Usually I'll be watching a DVD or, later on, whatever I taped from earlier in the evening.

Midnight - hit the sack. Toss and turn for a bit while conducting mental exercises I do that seems to help me sleep. Sleep.

And there you have it. Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.

What's your Social Security # and Date of Birth?

I wanna hear more about this broiled cheese on toast. I'm not too familiar with that concept. What kind of cheese?

That's the kind of stuff I was looking for. Not sue why that stuff interests me but it does.

Old cheddar. Cut some up and broil it on there. Good to dip in ketchup or have with tomato slices and pepper.

Of course if you happen to have some bacon to crumble on there - life is getting pretty deluxe.

Now it might be possible to make this happen with other kinds of cheese. I don't make any guarantees but it seems feasible.

You've never made cheese toast in the broiler?
I prefer Kraft singles just because it kind of splits and you get cheesey cheese next to the toast and a raised thin sometimes slightly blackened crust layer on the surface.

mmmm cheese toast.
i want to hear about more GL members days. mainly what time people wake up, eat, and go to bed, and if any of us actually work.
