Holy fucking crap. This reminds me of when I first heard that Miley Cyrus song that the Ohio State basketball team sung and is broadcast before every home game. I laughed and then I thought, "God. How could anyone possibly listen to this rancid shit?" And of course, it went to number one on Billboard shortly afterward. It would not surprise me if the same happens here. Americans will do whatever the media tells them to do. They're fucking morons.

Now that there is this song I am constantly wondering if I made the correct decision to sit in the front seat when the back seat was also available to me.
 
Strange phenomenon. The reaction to the song is almost universally negative. People are either satirizing it or just straight up ripping it to shreds.

I have done a bit of looking around and you just don't see a lot of people saying they like the song.

They have actually disabled the ratings on YouTube for the Official Video. That's a shame. I was curious to see how that was going. I bet there are a lot of Metallica fans who are pissed that they can't express themselves in the form of an indignant thumbs down.

I assume they must have disabled that as a preemptive measure because they knew it would set a record for "dislikes."




But I guess some people must genuinely like it. Checking YouTube is one thing, but I don't think people would pay for it on iTunes just because they find it so spectacularly bad.

It seems like it has to be a 15 minutes thing that will be forgotten by next week but maybe not.
