The Durito 500

I've thought long and hard about this Durito. This whole thing started out as an ego thing, I wanted to prove that I could do it. As it has developed I have learned a good deal about many different things, among those things is the value of having multiple outs and actually shopping around for the best price. If it weren't fr this challenge I never would have stuck it through an entire college hoops season and I still would have never wagered on a hockey game.

I plan on keeping this thread going to track my selections even after this challenge ends. As I mentioned earlier I plan on starting small but doing this fulltime. Still as a hobby but on a consistent basis.

As for the money, I feel like I am going back on my word but I had no idea just how much effort this would require. So if I win I will accept payment but I only want $500. The other $500 you can do with what you wish. Use it to come to a mini-Bash, donate it to a charity or a poster or put it in your daughters college fund.

Based on a classic -110/-110 lines scenario, Wakky needs to go 79/169 (.467) or better to stay in the black. Assuming he coinflips the rest of the way, he has a 82.20% chance of winning the challenge.

Actually, he's betting $100 to win $90 rather than $110 to win $100 so Wakky only needs to go 78/169 (.461) and has a 85.92% chance of winning if he gets the coin out.

I'm glad to hear you learned a lot Wally. Still got a ways to go though.

Interesting that you wanted to quit even though you hardly had a loosing streak. It can get a lot harder.

I like that you decided that this was enough work that you'd like to get paid.

I don't have the same animosity towards touts as most here. If it is done with real integrity then I have no problem with them. I mean to make money and not have to risk your own, sounds good to me.

The problem I have is I couldn't be associated with anything not above board, giving out one side to some players and the other side to others is just wrong. Plus I don't rate plays, I only select games that have an edge and I don't see certain games having more or less of an edge than the others based on numbers. In order to rate plays it would take placing personal knowledge or bias into the mix and what I have been doing avoids all of that.

I would much rather continue doing this and prove it is a lasting formula and hook up with a couple other guys (pros) who use their own system/models.programs and compare and when certain games line up we have a consensus play.
