What is the proper way to write $99, dollar or dollars? As in the cost.

I'm thinking $100 dollar bill, item. $99 dollars, service cost. Correct?

I'm not positive I am understanding the question but I'll say this:

Writing $99 dollars is redundant. The dollar sign is already saying dollars. $99 says it all.

If you didn't use a dollar sign, it would be written as 99 dollars.

The only time you would use the word dollar would be singular (and with no dollar sign). 1 dollar. A dollar.

Or just ---> $1
 
So the story is that Sears and Amazon have removed this ring from their websites which is described as a "sideways swastika." Sparked outrage on social media and whatnot.

I suppose there are a few angles to approach that discussion but here's what I wonder more than anything: how is it sideways?

I guess the Nazi swastika is tilted 45 degrees (resting on a point) while the one on the ring is square (resting on a side).

That does not make it sideways. Not sure that a 2D logo can be "sideways".

Giant fans are not happy bout the favoritism given the logo (just like Bacon) on top of GL's page, but we understand these type of things happen when a dictator is in charge!
