Wow, what a scumbag.

I have a feeling you weren't in a position to make anything anyway. Part of his method seems to be a long pre-launch period, trying to make as many people as possible think that they're getting in on the ground floor.

I basically knew from the start that this was what it looks like it is. The one friend that initially called me about it is involved in every get rich scheme that he comes in contact with. He got me involved with this thing called BurnLounge once. It was the first time I had ever done anything of the sort. It took me about 3 weeks to realize that they were soley interested in signing people up and not at all concerned with seeling the product. I wrote out this whole in depth deal about how to promote the ACTUAL PRODUCT and no-one wanted to hear it. Soon after that I started researching and had my eyes opened up to what multi-level marketing (ponzi schemes) were.

I like Penn Gillette a lot, but I'm not a big fan of Penn & Teller's show Bullshit.

That said, their episode on MLMs was quite good. I recommend watching it if you get the chance. If you're at all familiar with MLMs, you won't learn anything, but there are some good character studies.

I like the show Bullshit...just wish Penn didn't force the expletives every 5 seconds for the hell of it. It becomes wayyyyy annoying.

I watch every one, because I like the genre and I like Penn, but the show really is lazy and almost always takes the easiest approach possible.

Penn Jillette (I like him so much, I'll spell his name correctly this time) had an hour long radio talk show for about a year. It was awesome. I miss it terribly.

I just found out that the entire show is archived here:

I'll be listening to this the whole drive back to Denver. I hope MrsX is okay with that.

Oh man I just remembered about 20 years ago playing a trick on my little brother using ths VHS...Penn & Teller: Cruel Tricks for Dear Friends.

Made the kid cry in fear. He still brings it up as a traumatizing moment in his life.
