If you knew you were in a Ponzi scheme but were in early enough that for very little investment you were all but guaranteed profit, would you do it?

Ive been involved before but too late to even make my investment back. This one is early enough on that even before the investment is required I will have already get +value on it. Im not like the others though, I wont be trying to get anyone in under me. I am positioned where everyone around me is so eagerly going after people I dont have to do anything.

Even not preying on my neighbors and friends, even though I am basically just an early positioned participant it still feels wrong somehow.

So Shane sent me a text with the founders name and the product he is now representing. As soon as I entered the guys name into google the very first option following his name is SCAM.

Naturally curiosity is peaked and I follow the links. Turns out this guy was involved with something called NutriScience back in 2008, it was set up the exact same way as this new venture is set up. No money now just sign-up to reserve your place in line.

Follow the daisy-chain searches and it ties him to another guy who is also connected in the past with other scams.

So I call Shane and tell him to take me off the list, I just dont want to be involved. Not 5 minutes later I get a call from this woman who says she is a close personal friend of this guy I just researched. She wants me to understand that even though I dont know her from Adam she would never be dishonest to anyone. That her friend is as honest as she is and he would never be associated with anything that wasnt 100% legit.

So I explain what I just googled and she, without skipping a beat went straight into the oh those were just disgruntled people who did nothing to benefit themselves and attempt to sign anyone up and were just left on the bottom.

Long story short Im not getting involved. Most likely I never really was gonna follow through with it in the first place. It was nice though to get positive re-enforcement from Gamelivers. Its nice to know that hose you associate with have a solid ethical foundation.
