I was let go this morning. Zero warning. Fired without cause. Not a huge shock, but still weird cause they flew me to the office last month for the holiday party, and my boss was happy with my performance. The decision came from the top, this very morning.

They just can't afford a sales rep on salary. I'm being replaced with a 100%-commission-based agent.

You'll find me playing PS5 the rest of the week boys. They owe me a couple weeks plus upcoming commissions.

Hoping to stay in the bike industry but the money is pretty poor. I dunno.

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles is a top 3 game of all time for this unemployed bum 👌

Sorry man, sucks to hear.

Tactics sounds awesome though. I'm so far behind on my to do list because I've been addicted to Nightreign this last few months. You ever play any of the Fromsoft games?

Should I try Elden Ring first or go straight to Nightreign?
I think you'll probably get a lot more out of Nightreign if you play Elden Ring first.

Elden Ring is just the ultimate drop you in, fuck-you-good-luck game. I usually prefer a more story driven game, but this experience was one of a kind. Truly open world, and when exploring blind, every new area and its monsters are mind blowing.

Combat is insanely hard, but everything is beatable if you learn the patterns. So you can decide what kind of experience you want for yourself. Boss too hard? Go beat up weaklings til you get stronger. OR fight it 100 times, learn its timing and kill the bastard.

Story is a mess but it doesn't matter. It's an experiential masterpiece. I know lots of people who quit early (and don't blame them), but those who stick with it and get hooked are HOOKED.

So now Nightreign is essentially a Fortnite type game in an Elden Ring world. Queue in, fight a bunch of monsters, use the weapons you find, one big boss at the end. A perfect continuation for those of us who were addicted to the original game's combat and ran out of things to do in that world.
