So I'm currently going through the I-VI Pixel Remaster bundle:

FFI - 8/10, very simple but pure and quite enjoyable. It's a better game than Dragon Warrior which came out around the same time. (Dragon Warrior was what got me hooked on JRPGs back in 1989 or 90 when Nintendo Power sent free cartridges to subscribers)
FFII - 7.8/10, great story and music but the empty-room galore and the lack of proper leveling/classes felt like gimmicks. Still liked it a lot.
FFIII - 7.5/10, good story, first appearance of the jobs system, the mini/toad stuff was an annoying gimmick. Final dungeon was a decent challenge and beating the series of final bosses felt like you'd accomplished something. Flawed but enjoyable.
FFIV - 8.5/10, first fully fleshed out FF, great story, thoroughly enjoyable, decent challenge but can be cheesed by over-leveling
FFV - 9.2/10, absolutely epic, great music, impossible to cheese your way through, best combat by far. This is the foundation for the jobs system in Tactics which is crazy complex. You gotta invest some serious time into building a cohesive party and adjusting it to the bosses you're trying to beat. Amazing music. Huge fan.
FFVI - n/a, looking forward to it

FFVII - 9.8/10, gold standard of cinematic JRPGs. I tried getting into Remake/Rebirth but I still prefer the OG.
FFVIII - 9/10, I loved the seriousness and beauty of it, great music throughout
FFIX - n/a, started it but am only 3-4 hours in, catchiest intro song ever IMO, I'm sure I'll love it
FFX - n/a, am about 10 hours in, I don't love the sphere grid yet but I feel like I'm not far enough in to appreciate it. Fuck blitzball. The story is starting to grab me.

FF Tactics (PSP remaster and Ivalice Chronicles) - 9.9/10, probably my 2nd favorite game of all time after Breath of the Wild. It's a work of art - the worldbuilding, the literary storytelling (the story is told from the perspective of a historian centuries after the fact, so the game is basically you reliving history), the music, the endless replayability thanks to the sheer level of freedom you get in building your units. Everything is just top notch here. I've beat the game twice and am already looking forward to my third playthrough.
Bump for @Vegas Dave
