No CG, I am not a doctor.   My job of 16 years in Denver was eliminated in a merger 2 years ago.   At that time I came "home" to care for my mom with Alzheimers.   I probably always had low level depression but the 24/7 caregiver role really brought it out.  I have been on ambien for as long as I can remember....just recently became interested in Melatonin.    Along with Ativan and oxycodone I can usually sleep fairly well despite circumstance,  but am trying to get off most of the meds.    I had my first  therapy session today and had the same type of experience that you described ...I didn't come out of there feeling like there was a good end plan in place.  
In any case, I can empathize with you as I am a well educated,  self declared crazy person with a tendency to overshare.   A lot we do not have in common as well.  Something about a toilet paper roll I heard about...   I just think you are an interesting person.   Whatever people might say and with my limited knowledge of you I can say I agree with some and disagree with some, there is no denying you are interesting...at least to people like me who find most peope interesting.  I really believe anyone's life would make a good autobiographical read if put together well enough.  We are all interesting.
