Cami, JL had a big nightmare last night. First such occurrence. He woke up with a blood-curdling scream around 3am, and then he kept pointing at the bed while screaming so loud that E and I got spooked, with goosebumps and all. Took him a good 30 minutes to settle down and another 30 to go back to sleep.

I asked him about it before he left for daycare this morning.

Me - What did you dream about last night?
JL - Lobster.
Me - A lobster?
JL - Yah. The lobster wanted to eat Jean-Louis.

Aw, poor thing.

Daycare calls to say JL seems sick. He says his tummy hurts. I go pick him up.

Me - What's wrong Jean-Louis, your tummy hurts?
JL (whiny voice) - Yeah.
Me (puts finger on JL's tummy) - Here?
JL (whiny voice) - No.
Me - Can you show me where your tummy hurts?
JL - *points to his forehead*

these kids, I tell you what.
My youngest daughter was on a good ten minute rant the other day talking about monsters and trying to make me have nightmares. She kept stopping in the middle of her rambling and asking "mommy, are you gonna have nightmares now?"
me: "no baby, I don't think so"
so then she goes on some more about these monsters, and asks again....
"but don't worry mommy, I'll be safe, even if you have a nightmare"

Gee, thanks kid. lol.
