I'm also tracking & restricting calories. I just find it way easier to eat only 1600 calories a day (+ whatever I burn by exercising) on keto vs a SAD (standard American diet). Keto makes you feel way less hungry. That's what makes it worth all the hassle to me.

I'm planning to do it for 4-5 months total then go back to eating normally (i.e. ~2100 calories of whatever)

Love that you have a clear time frame and maintenance plan already planned out, good luck sir 👍.

If you are open to suggestions, I'd for sure recommend reintroducing carbs slowly, as opposed to just snapping back into normal. Give your body the chance to get reacclimated to breaking down different forms of energy vs. being inefficient at doing so and making Matty feel like a fatty.

Yessir! Very similar results to 2021 so far. I should have lost at least 15 by the end of the month, then another 8-10 pounds per month after that.
:letsgorock:

I had two girly tequila-based drinks last night (34g of carbs total) which I thought would kick me out of ketosis, but I apparently burned over 900 calories just bobbing up and down in that rave. Ketosis level was actually a bit deeper this morning (!) Very light, long-duration exercise burns significant carbs 🤝
