I finally conquered that nearby road hill without putting a foot down. Almost managed it a couple days ago but I was mentally defeated right near the end and had to stop to catch my breath. Not this time. Feelsgoodman. 🥳 Fuck do I suck at climbing. The record is 55 fucking seconds.

Much fancier than Tron's actually. One of the top guys in the area rides a 5-digit $ bike. Cannondale SuperSix EVO something something with electronic shifters. But that might only account for 15 seconds over that climb. These guys are mostly lighter, stronger and fitter than me.

Conquered a new steep hill on my first attempt AND I ranked in the middle of the pack on Strava. Quite proud of this one.
I feel like I'll soon be able to tackle any hill thanks to practice and improved technique/pacing. 💪 Losing another 20 lbs or so is going to help a lot too.
