We spent the first week in central part of Madrid while the girls trained with the academy team from Spain. The tournament was in Lisbon (Lisboa) so we were all over that area for 4 days. We traveled to Porto for a few days (photo of the wine glasses was from our room), which was our favorite part of the trip. Lots of good local wine both white and green.
We ate lots of seafood as the steak wasn't our favorite. We found 2 Nicaraguan restaurants in Madrid since my wife really missed having rice and beans.
#1 meal was a seafood medley in Lisbon at Boca De Inferno. Lobster, giant prawn, clams, mussels, and amazing scallops.
#2 meal was seabass in Borba on the drive from Madrid to Lisboa. Locally bottled white wine was perfect pairing.
#3 meal was black pasta with shrimp in Porto
Honorable mention was the paella in Madrid
