who the hell puts olive oil on their toast

Funny you should ask that.

Tron does. :greencheck:

I've never been to Canada so I can't speak for you northerners but olive oil on bread is not a very radical thing in these parts.

:pepe:

Do you buy juice "kits" or something? I kinda want to try it.

The first day I bought the 1 day- 6 juice kit from Liquiteria.

Since then I've been buying an assortment of different ones from other local places.

I'm in the epicenter of Raw/Vegan/Organic/Juice neighborhoods in the world.

Sorry it took so long to confirm this but, yup, had seared tuna last night with asparagus and it was DELISH.

:greencheck:

How long on each side did you sear your tuna for? On medium to high temp?

The bottles only last 2-3 days max, so I imagine delivery is difficult..

I think you're a close second to Los Angeles.

People in LA know more about kale than they know about their spouses.

High temp

About 4 min a side. It's a little tricky because overcooked tuna sucks.

I can see if it was some sort of diner / bread roll that you get served at restaurants.

I think per/sq mile we have them beat. Over a dozen places within my 10 block radius.

Seared tuna is the shit. We like to have tuna tataki as an appetizer when ordering sushi in.

I've only had seared tuna once in my life and it was at a restaurant in Montreal. It was fantastic. I might have to try this myself. Have you ever BBQ'd it? If so, please let me know how it was and how you prepared it.

Oil is served with bread in any decent Italian restaurant.

Fiveteamer does not get out much.

Are you fine folks searing your tuna in oil? Can you fill me in?

Oil on bread, yes. But on toast? Like, the toast you eat with eggs for breakfast? NO. Never.

This tuna talk has me thinking I have to try to cook some. Checking out vids on youtube now.

Anything you put butter on you can put EVOO on.
