Do you really eat ribs with a fork and knife or is that just for the (very attractive) photo?

He had his own plate with the exact same amount of food on it. 😅 He ate precisely 8.3% of it.

-Scotch updates

Johnnie Walker Blue Label goes from 24 to 16 as I got to sample a LOT of it over the weekend. Buddy's dad gets tons of it as gifts from his clients - there were allegedly 7 bottles in storage where I was. Anyway I still think it's bad value, but as a drink with no price tag attached to it, it's really nice. Very subtle, luxurious and warm, with just a trace of peat.

Also had Bowmore 12 which stays where it is. Solid entry-level bottle with a nice spicy kick to it. Quite good.

New entry at #23 - Glenrothes 12. I usually shy away from Speysides because I associate them with floral notes that I'm not fond of, but this is a lot more muscular than expected. Sherry bomb with a touch more complexity. I like it. 👍

-American whiskey updates

Finally sampled Drake's bottle, Virginia Black. It's labeled as an American whiskey but it really tastes like Canadian. Somewhat crude and extremely sweet, a bit like the regular Forty Creek. I think they're trying to appeal to non whiskey drinkers with this. It's drinkable but over the top in the sweetness department. I'm slotting it in at #29.

how is Makers 46 on top? I don't even like it as much as regular Makers, which I consider run of the mill. Maybe I should try it again :dunno:

I NEED TIME (AND MONEY) TO REORGANIZE THE LISTS.

I love me some MM and I tend to be biased towards cask strength/higher proof/less diluted bottles, so that would explain it. But I haven't had 46 in a while so who knows.

Makers is on my short list of go to bourbons and I find the 46 to be fine.

Nothing to make it better than the original IMO. That’s me though

I'm being brain-washed by the show BILLIONS.

Picked this guy up today.

what you think. I got into a bottle last night. Smell and taste lots of vanilla. Dried fruit with oaky finish. Taste lingers for a bit but in a pleasant way. Would drink again.

It’s good, just don’t think I’m a huge rye fan.

I like the whiskey version better.

will check out their bourbon next.

Start a Youtube Channel. Throw in French terms wherever needed(or not). You already have a trinket market. Share your channel with them when you ship the stuff. Maybe make some videos slightly tipsy involving unscripted stuff.

These 2 just happened.

Not overly impressed with Long Branch at $39.

Matthew Mconaugheys name is on bottle. Nuff said.

Basil was good deal at $29. Smoove.

I had Basil Hayden (again) the other night right before ordering an Angel's Envy

Angel's Envy destroys Basil Hayden IMO Wally

yeah, I was into Basil Haydens for a while, but now generally avoid Jim Beam stuff. Although I wouldn't pass on a shot of Bookers
