This is what gets me about people like Cougar, my Uncle Steve, and all the others on the right who complain about how far the left has fallen off and don't say the exact same thing about the extreme end of their party while it is actively worshipping a snake oil salesman.

The extreme left has absolutely gone off the rails. I don't identify with it at all. But so too has the extreme right. Why is anyone acting like BOTH of these politically charged sides aren't insane?

I feel like something around 70-80% of people (maybe more?) are just normal people who don't care about politics, but because all we see on the internet is that every Democrat is woke and blowing up Teslas and every Republican is a racist sexist transphobic monster, we keep getting further divided.

Whatever gets eyeballs and sells ads 🤷‍♂️

I like Snake oil salesmen. It's my thing.

The right has gone further right.
People got tired of the Lindsey Grahams constantly playing both sides. McCain was another one. I don't think the old GOP is ever coming back.

And my point was mostly the Dem bench is just sad. There's not much there. Newsome or Mayor Pete is your best shot. Running AOC or Kamala again is suicide.
