This is insane, even by American standards. They are claiming that Russia is going to attack itself, in order to have a pretext to "invade Ukraine".
Nevermind the fact that there's little, if any point to having another pretext, but as usual they provide no evidence.
I'm concerned that what's more likely is that the US/Uk trying to push some Nazi faction in Ukraine to attack, and if that happens they can call it a Russian false flag. Wow!

I think the goal is to overthrow the Russian government by having the oligarchs (who are totally controlled/dependent on the West) rise up and overthrow Putin. That's what sanctions are for. Ukraine is a tool in this plan.
If that doesn't work, and they're not able to destroy Russia through a coup, I don't think these guys can back off. They will likely blow up the world before giving up their status.
