if he comfortable floating he can easily learn the breast stroke and freestyle, or any really, I would think.

So my new heart rate monitor allows me to check which heart rate "zone" I'm in during a workout. Unbeknownst to me, I had been pushing too hard on the bike - the sweet spot for fat burning is about 65 to 75% of your mac heart rate. So the idea now is to spend the vast majority of my bike rides around that mark, which for me is 116 to 134 BPM:
