192.8 after a giant poop this morning

:174:

I'm losing upper body muscle because of my frozen shoulder though. Appt with the physiotherapist in a few days, looking forward to getting back to my chin-up bar
How many reps do you usually do on bar?

I was only up to 5 before the shoulder thing stopped my progress. Back in the day I could do 12-15 when I weighed 180-185.

Start your July off right. Join me in the
July 1,500 pushup challenge. Do ~50 a day for July. Who's with me?

I'll join.

Wait, let me check that I can even do one with my bad shoulders.

Do it from your knees if you have to take some strain off the shoulder.

July 1
Matty - still thinking about it

July 1
Matty - 50/1,500 :highfive:

Seems like a decent exercise to work through the frozen shoulder. Curious to see what exercises the physio will officially recommend.

See you tomorrow @mcbaseball10

What is the supposed benefit of doing this Mr.B? Can't be too hard if you don't have to try and do 50 at once

Matty you should try and see how long it takes you to do 50. Maybe there's an app showing the fastest to 50 pushuppers in town. :hmm:

Just before Matty got really fat he did a similar push up challenge.

I’m in.

get you a cheap door pulley system. you use the good arm to get you into a deeper range of motion, with the muscles in and around the GH joint less guarded and more relaxed.

you can break through the adhesive build-up better with Active Assisted Range of Motion at home and Passive Range of Motion with the Treatment.

but yeah close chain excericses like push ups are going to be key. just make sure you are doing other things in all 3 planes of motion and at various angles. And stretching>resisted exercise. So wall push-ups or even better doorway push-ups with longer stretch holds will be your friend.

-Better upper body muscle definition
-More strength
-Increased fitness
-Sex with women (presumably)

Great question Reno. What Matty said, plus you don't need any equipment or additional workspace to do it. You can literally roll out of bed and do a few here and there just to try to meet a goal. Setting a tangible goal and holding yourself accountable is also a mental health benefit. Physically, when done properly, pushups work your core and legs as well as upper body.

BTW I did mine in 3 sets of 17 last night. One extra rep for good luck.

Will try 2 sets of 25 after in a week or so.

2-min break between each set
