What was your cruise itinerary? Favorite ports/islands?
 
I went to the supermarket, some observation

beer isle was half empty like normal except the Corona packs were untouched, people are not buying them :laugh:

I saw some shoppers wearing masks

frozen foods, meats, were emptied :wtf:
 
Yeah the meat section at the store today was nearly cleared out. I wasn't sure if it had something to do with people being stupid or the store was just reorganizing.

I guess the former.

I got a whole cooked chicken though. Those are in a separate place in the store. There were plenty of those.

First we went to St. Kitts (BVI) then to St. Thomas (USVI) the to Perfect Day at CocoCay (Royal Caribbean’s private island).

St. Kitts port was great. Had some jerk chicken and hung out with some cool ass monkeys. Drank the local beer. Went snorkeling in St. Thomas. Saw big sea turtles up close.

Highlight of the trip was the restaurant “Wonderland” on the ship. Food reimagined and an outstanding cocktail called Smoke Rings. Bourbon based and the drink smells like a campfire.
 
I noticed all the regular hot dogs were gone, but the all beef were readily available. But no buns :dunno:
Seems like there are more empty shelves everyday :endoftheworld:
 
This whole thing is going to fuck up my May guys trip to Vegas.

Rumor has it- he’s a scam doctor that lost his medical license years ago.

Guess he just got this van sorted out recently and is parking it a random locations around town.

Lion's share of my current writing work comes from covering sports..... which there are now none. RIP to earnings in March, we'll see how April goes.

Going to start looking for more gigs, but lots of industries are getting crushed right now.

Dumb fucks. I assume most of them are tourists.

 
I have to wonder if anything will happen with my work. There are well over a hundred people in the facility all the time. We had our regular Monday standup meeting today. That's like 80 people in a gathering. None of that seems cool these days.

That's not even getting into the fact that people keep traveling between branches. That just seems flat-out stupid.

I don't think we would be classified as an essential service. I'm sure we provide some supplies to a lot of essential services so I don't know if that factors into anything.

I just wonder if I got an unscheduled vacation coming up in the near future.
 
Meanwhile I finally got around to bringing my pack of toilet paper I bought on the weekend up to my apartment from the car. I felt like a total scumbag walking around with TP. I mostly just hoped no one would see me.

But then the other thing is, work finally announced that employees could buy a case a toilet paper. It had been restricted along with masks, sanitizers, wipes - but today they said, okay, toilet paper only - one case.

So I figured sure, I'll buy one.

So now I suddenly do have enough toilet paper to last like two years. Probably more. Not even joking. So I kind of actually am a hoarding scumbag.

So I guess I am full value for any dirty looks I got.
 
IMO you guys are definitely an essential part of the supply chain. I thank you for your service.
