but how long do these people intend on staying home? 1 roll lasts more than a week I think. They buying enough to last 5 years sounds like

Didn’t you ever watch The Walking Dead, comrade?

If shit goes down you want to have a bomb/zombie shelter stocked with essentials for several years.

“Tom Hanks, You survived 2 plane crashes and made it off that island, this is a walk in the park!
But seriously, prayers for a speedy recovery!“

In the 1919 Stanley Cup championship, no champion was declared; the series was canceled after five games had been played due to an outbreak of Spanish flu.

All because some Asian in Wuhan was selling dead bats next to live chickens at a wet market.

COVID is still driving my job.

We had a record sales day yesterday (in terms of lines shipped) - and today was projecting to be like 15% more. Unheard-of trends.

People are still buying masks, respirators, sanitizers, wipes etc. But the big things that are exploding now are toilet paper and gloves.

The glove aisle was a complete clusterfuck today.

Nothing like running for the bus while eating a Kind bar, getting a little bit of it in my throat and coming on the bus coughing. We have people flying out of seats near me and covering their faces. Whatever.

So I spend a good amount of time looking for the best way to get a stash of TP. Amazon Fresh - nope. Local places - nope. I decide to pay the GoPuff fees and pay the $1.99 apiece for the crappy rolls of Scotties (not the good ones - there's a HUGH difference, as those of you that require Scotties like myself know). I order 8 of them.

Driver calls - website not updated - we're out of those. Oh so THAT'S why you capped me at 8 rolls and said that was all you had right? Because you have zero.

But what happened is what they already know, I ordered a bunch of shit I don't really need out of convenience to go along with the TP that was needed.

Well played, GoPuff. I can't hate you because of the whatever/wherevel convenience - but yeah, that's a little fucked up.

For those of you that use Amazon, etc. for groceries - pickings for anything decent are getting very slim and prices for anything decent are rising, so you've been advised...now's the time as it'll only get worse.

But hey, who needs food, sports and toilet paper anyway?

Lion's share of my current writing work comes from covering sports..... which there are now none. RIP to earnings in March, we'll see how April goes.

Going to start looking for more gigs, but lots of industries are getting crushed right now.

Earlier this week I picked up the little handout with the how-to-join rules for the March Madness Bracket contest from work. It's now sitting in the spot where I put stuff to be dealt with on the weekend.

I didn't realize when I put it there that "dealing with it" would mean chucking it in the recycle box.

I just came from the grocery store. A lot of toilet paper being bought. There were people walking to their cars with nothing but toilet paper.

There was a guy stocking the shelves with toilet paper when I was there. I get the feeling he is doing that a good part of the day.

I bought a 24 pack. It was a bit premature for me. I have about 10 rolls in the cupboard. That will last me a while. I do most of my toilet papering at work actually. I tend to have a dump after my morning commute before the shift starts. I use their toilet paper.

Mainly just weekend toilet paper use at home.

TMI?

Anyway I bought some toilet paper. Sometimes people are so stupid/crappy that, although it irks me, they can dictate your actions to an extent.

Some nice toilet paper though. Ain't no scraping-the-bottom-of-the-barrel toilet paper.

Fine toilet paper. Purple packaging. It's so deluxe that cats wanna hang out on it. Velour.

Some sweet wiping in my future.

WE HAVENT HEARD FROM TRON SINCE SUNDAY WHEN HE WAS OFF THE COAST OF ST KITTS !!!! :wha:

Highly Suspect (great band I mentioned earlier) WANTED to keep rocking out in Europe, knowing the quarantine was to come when they would inevitably return to the US.

Europe had other plans.

Got home today, boys!

found out the seas were 16-20 feet the first 2 or 3 days. That explains the ship sounding like it was about to break apart at times!

I’m bummed the cruise is over because now there’s no way I can avoid the FULL PANIC about some body aches and sniffles.
