I recorded Crazy Rich Asians. It's 7.0 out of 10 at imdb. 91% Tomatometer.

Prolly not for me though. I don't doubt there are a few laughs in there but overall, prolly not. Not because of ethnic considerations, just cuz.

So are Crazy Asians at poker tables, assuming their 40% flush draws that they play like it's the stone cold nut's don't hit

I have been watching/rewatching Aqua Teen Hunger Force. From the beginning.

I had some doubt I would watch the whole thing - it's 139 episodes over 11 seasons - plus a movie - but I'm in season 7 now and I find it pretty easy to sneak in an 11-minute episode between things so I guess I will end up watching the whole thing.

The day-in-day-out twistedness - that's what I need in my life.

I checked out Booksmart (2019), which is the directorial debut of Olivia Wilde. You know what? It's pretty good.

She has decided to go in a John Hughes-ish direction - coming-of-age comedy - and she has created some good characters and made the whole thing seem pretty effortless. A few things in there didn't quite land for me but for the most part - good job!

I wonder what she will do next.

7 out of 10

Shaft (2019)...

Critics score of 34% on rotten tomatoes and a audience score of 94%...

Why you ask??

This is the kind of movie you would've watched back in the early noughties and been like "meh", but to release this unicorn of a movie in 2019 was SO refreshing to see...

Critics don't like it as it fails to pander to any of the PC narratives that they've been pushing onto us for so long.

Any leftist who watches this movie will be triggered because its shaft being shaft and in the current climate that's enough to set the NPC crowd to emotionally combust...

Samuel L Jackson plays the role to perfection with a awesome supporting cast to boot...

Highly recommended. You won't be left mesmerized but you won't be left feeling unsatisfied either...

Vince Vaughn never gets old to me, it doesn't really matter which movie. He owns it every time.

VV ftw.

Lol I forgot about that one man

You put Giamatti and Vince in anything about anything

I will gurantee you it will be good

The season of True Detective that Vince Vaughn was in was garbage.

I will always love Vince Vaughn for his roles in Swingers and Made.

Same Tronner, Swingers is nothing short of classic and so is Wedding Crashers.

Livingston and Favreau were great in that as well.

How about Anniston and Livingston in Office Space.

How's this for funny?

I'm guessing I'm a leftist who wouldn't be triggered. I get triggered by Tarantino movies past pulp fiction.

I did like him in swingers. But not enough to love him forever, considering how much garbage since

Wind River

Suspense Murder Mystery on a Wyoming Indian Reservation

Pretty pretty pretty good

7.4

Well last I heard you don't go around calling everyone you don't agree with online a nazi so you should be good 👌

Next show I'm going to try: Narcos: Mexico.

I kept checking for Narcos, season 4 - because I enjoyed Narcos and heard there would be more - but I could never find it. Well that's because they didn't call it Narcos season 4. They are calling it a spinoff and it is season 1 (which came out like 6 months ago but I'm just cluing in now).

Anyway, gonna give it a shot.

It's my favorite Narcos, but I was way more familiar with the personalities before the show so I may be a bit bias

I'll probably start into that today.

Meanwhile, I am ready to declare myself NOT a fan of Jordan Peele and his new career direction in movies. After being the only person in the world to give a thumbs down to Get Out, I have now watched Us. What a CF. I had to force myself to stick with it to the end.

Like, I already know that's not my genre. Dopey supernatural horror. Impossible creatures, jump scares, cat-and-mouse, blah blah blah. But so many critics are so gaga about him I feel like there must be something extra going on.

I can hardly remember anything being as unanimous as the love of Get Out. They gave him an honest-to-gawd fucking Oscar.

But there's nothing extra going on. It's just dopey supernatural horror.

Get out of here with that shit.
