I remember they had a bunch of fish fall from the sky at one point and it was so ridiculous, I was sure they would have to explain it at some point.

Like maybe it would be something completely cockamamie but at least something. They can't just leave it there, I thought.

But they just left it there, didn't they?

Yeh. Started really strong and it steadily went downhill. Ended right before jumping the shark IMO.

It was garbage in Vanilla Sky and it was garbage in this. Very disappointing. I do get the point though - like an intermission from the serious shit going on.

Cocky producers is what I call that. Assholes.

All of which leads me to conclude, no cap should be placed on the possible number of accumulating corpses in Fargo.

Boyhood (2014)

The more I think about Boyhood (the movie, not the actual experience) the less I like it. The concept is of course very interesting, and perhaps if the plot were better and the children grew into good actors it would have been more enjoyable. Actually Patricia Arquette's acting was almost unwatchable as well, so it wasn't just the kids. Ethan Hawke was good as were all the "Dads" in the movie. Especially the main drunk, he was the best part by a mile. Also the scene where he tells his kids to take the McCain sign down. All in all there were some good moments, but I was ultimately disappointed. Brock says it's going to win best picture. If that happens it would make me think twice before considering that just because something won an Academy Award it should be worth my viewing time.

i have seen multiple posts around forums and social media about the downton abbey premeir... i have to step back and take a moment to realize that although the PBS premier of season 5 was the other day, ive already seen the entire season and besides the xmas special, sea.5 ended a month ago...

American Sniper - Easily the best movie I've seen in awhile. Gripping the entire way through, outstanding acting across the board. We don't expect much from war movies and this delivered. Bravo. FYI Eastwood can direct a fucking movie but

Clint Eastwood knows his way around a movie. He has had a few slight misfires but many triumphs and I will eagerly watch whatever he puts out - and I will absolutely respect his wishes that I stay off his lawn.

Louie's episode with Robin Williams. Poignant stuff.

But then there was that retarded kid who diarrhea'ed in Louie's tub.

:mrquincy:

I am the same age as Molesley btw. That was my main take-away from the Downton season premier.

I am about 6 months older than Nicolas Cage and the same age as Molesley.

Robin Williams killed himself which is weird WHAT A PUSSY.

Watch American Sniper you homos.

First Season of Marvel: Agents of Shield

Pretty addicting. The production values alone are worth watching the show for. Silver screen material with a big-screen explosion budget. I like the integrated story theory with the Marvel universe though I have yet to see how they execute it. Gonna watch the corollary movies sometime before turning to season 2. The story is good, i mean it's pretty much pre-written with the comics that came out decades ago. One major problem is the acting, it's pretty terrible. Sometime I think, "meh, it's comic book campiness." But part of me really knows it's just bad acting. Asian lady is ok actress. Anytime it's turning me off they save themselves with a cool explosion so NBD.

Currently watching Dumb and Dumber btw. I feel sure I have seen it before but nothing is ringing any bells.

About 40 minutes in ---> seems brand new to me, and I don't believe it will be going on my roster of personal classics.

This should have been a calm strike, but I don't think that's how you intended it.

for those that have seen the movie, dumb and dumber is probably in their top 5 or top 10 funniest movies they have ever seen... its not us, muddy, its you  .. common
