Yeah I don't know if she has dabbled in prosthetics. We are not close. For anyone with supernatural memory, she is the one I complained about having as an inventory partner awhile back, who is very loud and constantly asks dumb questions and shows no ability to think ahead or learn.

Not that I would let her know I was thinking any of that. Completely two-faced about these things, me.

We are cordial but don't connect on a deep level. Smalltalk, that's it.

So I haven't probed her about circumstances surrounding the stump.

Meanwhile Harmony has made the switch to the Xmas music station. Guess I'll be dealing with that for the duration.

My most-dreaded Xmas song, just awful. Heard it three times today on the route.
 
Harmony went home sick yesterday and is off again today. I believe in the 13 months I have worked here, she has had more time off sick than I have had from everything in my life going back to when I had chicken pox in grade 3.
 
Another (extended) team lunch today. We've all checked out for the year already.

Muddy I've encountered many of these lame ducks over the years and I'm still not sure how that works. I guess they go on short-term disability once they run out of sick/vacation/personal days.

Merely showing up to work is a struggle for some.

I rock at showing up.

Another thing about Harmony. Here's a weird one.

So her plan is to stop drinking in public. Not sure when exactly - new year? - doesn't matter - the point is her reason.

She is planning at some point in the fairly near future to get pregnant. And she knows that when she gets pregnant she will stop drinking because that's how that works these days.

But she doesn't want people to know when she's pregnant. Why? Fok'd if I know. Control issues I guess? I don't know. But she figures people will see her stop drinking in public and it will basically amount to an announcement that she is pregnant.

Which she doesn't want to do. So she is stopping drinking in public now so no one will be able to gauge when she becomes pregnant.
