I would say that aussies talk about America more than Americans do. All my oz fb friends are constantly talking about us politics and gun control etc.

You guys are obsessed.

The bartenders and servers in NYC make a killing.
 
RJ Aussie system is completely different.

Tips are frowned upon here as base level worker is on 3.5x more than comparative US worker so theres simply no need for such a socially draconian practice.

Murdoch media also has a giant hard-on for anything relating to politics and/or gun violence in the US.

Its like the majority dont want firearms to be legal but the fantasization of being able to bear arms as stated in constitution takes anay any pre-existing logic...

Bartenders and the like may be making a killing in money central aka NYC but what about the broader sections of the country??
 
So it seems like you agree with the article. Servers should be put on salary and they raise the menu prices a bit, then banish the tips.

Definitely not. If you want to say Aussies talk about Americans a lot, that may be fair. But more than Americans? Simply not possible.
