I'm sorry but I am an ardent agnostic and it is near and dear to my heart and I have to nit pick at that. It seems contradictory. The second sentence seems theistic and counter to the principles of agnosticism.

I never said that the "architect", of which I was referring, was an actual being. But it was definitely something... energy, aliens, nature, circumstance, possibly even some giant white guy in the sky who sent his only Son to earth to die for our sins...who the fuck knows. Not knowing = agnosticism.
 
If I ever had kids, I'd be really conflicted as to whether I'd want to continue the tradition of making them think there are make-believe present bearers running around in the darkness of night. Although, the tooth fairy is a go no matter what. That one is demented enough to get my unconditional approval.
