Juror asked me to put together a thread of my all time top 20.

I decided to make a list of the movies i like to watch the most, rather than what I think are the top 20 movies ever made. For instance, The Deer Hunter is obviously better than Dazed & Confused. But I have to be in the mood for The Deer Hunter. I am pretty much always in the mood for "alright, alright, alright...I love me some red heads...I get older, they stay the same age". You get the idea. Here's my list. Feel free to give opinions or insight as to your own personal top 20.

1. Godfather I
2. Godfather II
3. A Clockwork Orange
4. Taxi Driver
5. Annie Hall
6. Sideways
7. Goodfellas
8. The Shining
9. Goodwill Hunting
10. American Beauty
11. There Will Be Blood
12. Big Fish
13. Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas
14. The Shawshank Redemption
15. Dazed & Confused
16. No Country For Old Men
17. Pulp Fiction
18. The Big Lebowski
19. American Psycho
20. Blue Velvet

Honorable mentions:

The Deer Hunter
Clerks
Sling Blade
Gran Torino
Swingers
Fast Times At Ridgemont High
Memento
The Breakfast Club
Requiem For A Dream
Wonder Boys

Those are all good picks, some which almost made it others that wouldn't have been on it but are good flicks...Fargo was right there. It's really hard to narrow it to 20. Really hard. I know there's some that I couldn't think of too and it's killing me.

Some good ones in there CB. Not a big movie fan but do like some of those. Interesting how Sideways keeps coming up. Seems like an unspectacular film, but I too liked it a lot. :dunno:

Matty, I could tolerate 10 minutes of Inglorious Bastards. :bennyhill: unbelievable garbage. the X's liked it too

WTF reno? The opening scene alone is a genius short movie in itself. Christopher Waltz and the guy who plays the French farmer are unbelievable.

I can't list 20 right now but Glengarry Glen Ross is such a great movie it would probably be on there.

Is that where they had Jews hiding under the house? And then Brad Pitt was recruiting people who wanted to go kill "Nazais".
