Poor new Knights will have to play second-fiddle from the get go. That does suck.

I was hoping they would have a miracle first season and hockey was going to grow in popularity

My guess is the majority of fans in the rink will definitely be Canadian or half bred Canadians, and Euro folks from hockey mad markets like Sweden, Finland, Czech Rep and Russia.
 
Fair point. You can probably fly to Vegas and get hockey tickets for about the price of good seat at ACC or Bell Centre.

I bet the Under in a Golden Knights game 2 weeks ago @ Aria and it looked like a LOCK till the 3rd quarter or whatever they call it and then I got BURIED.
 
I am very confused about the whole phenomenon. I know Vegas was given the most generous expansion rules ever but I'm unclear how much of the success that explains.

I wonder if they will give Seattle the same entry deal. I guess probably not. While I know there are some folks who are tickled by the Vegas situation, my gut says that in the big picture it's more of an embarrassment to the league than something really great.

BUT I wonder if another team would do as well with the same conditions. Maybe the Vegas coach and GM have been just that brilliant, and another group would be in for a more normal struggle.

Yeah, no, for some reason I would have a very hard time cheering for Vegas in the final.

I would definitely cheer for Tampa.

I have a very hard time cheering for Washington in anything - it probably goes back to the Stephen Strasburg thing - but I think I would cheer for the Caps over Vegas.


I don't know. I need to give it some serious contemplation and pinpoint what is going on with me psychologically. I should want Vegas. Maybe I can bring myself around to Vegas. Maybe I do want Vegas.

Stop saying Vegas.

Noice. My bro is going to VGK-MTL this Saturday. Hopefully Patches is healthy enough by then.
