wally you just got to play and play around with the software, forget about manuals and tutorials, just toy around with all the options. for most videos the simpler the transitions the better. learn windows movie maker, it looks very simplistic and basic at first but its actually pretty powerful, no need to jump to the 500 bucks software right away.
