That's our Davey, he might unfriend me for posting this

:spocht:

Has he gained the weight back?

One day VD is going to be a sports industry semi-celebrity.

Otherwise he's going to be really miserable.

Go VD.

That didn't look like a lot of water. That bucket was not full.

I have seen a few references to this challenge but don't really know what's going on. How does dumping icy water on yourself help ALS?

If you are challenged and refuse to do the ice bucket thingie, you have to donate to an ALS organization.

VD is using his star power to push science forward.

Actually I did know that but assumed I was misunderstanding. So it's all about the lengths people will go to to avoid giving money to ALS.

Fantastic.

$10 Billion???

I donated last week, but I also think that pouring ice cold water over your head is silly. I guess if you are called out you have to do it. They should have a major fundraiser on New Years day for the Polar Bear swim. We have them here in NS, but I've never participated in one. Jumping into the ice cold North Atlantic ocean on New Years day doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun, but a fund raiser on this day would make sense.

I guess people will to anything for a thrill, babe.

My mistake, Million, not billion. Still a significant amount considering last year they raised just under 2 mil.

It is a good amount, but researchers need more $$$. This is one HORRIBLE disease and I'm surprised that it's taken this long for people to start to raise awareness.

You guys are all wrong it was: 10 TRILLION

Maybe we can be philanthropists too.

Let's post TP roll pics and down syndrome porn to raise awareness of chlamydia!

I would pour a bucket of discharge from people infected with the Clap on Blitty for this cause.

Seriously though, look at that. Water does not start coming out of that bucket till it is almost horizontal. There must have been like 3 cups of water in that bucket.

I hope it was chilly at least.
