Well maybe not all but at least to make a public statement on Friday about what has been the biggest non-sport sports story of the last 3 months. Since Woods’ world opened up for all to see in late November last year he has kept a low public profile causing a whole industry of rumors about what actually happened between Mr and Mrs Woods and constant speculation as conquest after conquest came forward to the media.

TMZ reports that the long anticipated statement, in which he is rumored to confirm he will be playing in the 2010 Masters, will be just be a statement with no option for questions and with a group of selected journalists watching from another room. It appears that the timing has less to do with stories circulating this week concerning Woods allegedly impregnating porn star Joslyn James on two separate occasions and more to try and hit back at one of his former sponsors. The statement is happening during the Accenture Match Play Championship which is being held in Arizona; Accenture were the first sponsor to drop Woods after his private life became public.

If it is in fact a statement concerning his attendance in the 2010 Masters, sportsbooks have lines ready for betting. Tiger to win the Masters after nearly 3 months away from the sport is available for +250 at Sportsbook.com and +325 at Betfair.
 
I guess I am supposed to care about the details of his galavanting but I don't. I'd just like him to get back golfing in time for the Masters.

Not sure if I would bet him at +325 against the field at this point. I think I would.

I am intrigued by the prop about if he will cry. My gut reaction is no fucking way - not Tiger.

But you never know. If he is trying to make a grand gesture to impress his wife, maybe.

It also seems like one of those things that could lead to grading controversy. What if he just chokes up to some extent. Someone will have to make a call about what qualifies as crying.



But I have to think no, he will not cry. +180 looks like a good bet to me.

I'd still pound "addicted to sex" 0-5 times at -1300 except I won't. He might say it once but I can't ever see him saying it over 5 times, I'd give him a little more intelligence to come up with a euphemism or two.
