You need to download a torrent client and then go to the link and click download. It should then open within your torrent client and start downloading. You can download any number of download clients - here are a couple that work on a mac.

It might be the program you are playing it through. I'm not mac savvy but I know that for a Windows machine, VLC plays just about anything - I assume it works just as well on a mac.

I did not download this but I am guessing the movie has been encoded with divx. Download the Divx for Mac here:

http://www.divx.com/en/software/mac

If there is an option while installing to just install the codec, then that should be all you need. After installing the codec it should play correctly with Quicktime.
