just cause its popular doesnt mean its pop music.
pop music to me is Bieber, Brittany, NKOTB, Backdoor Boys, etc...

Most people into "indie" music, whatever that is supposed to mean now, have heard of Neutral Milk Hotal. The King Of Carrot Flowers is my favorite of theirs but I never considered them amazing.

I think Cougar Bait is slightly better than this guy. I would also agree that there are tons of great bands that nobody's ever heard of. It also a shame that many would be worthwhile bands are stuck performing cover tunes.
