This thread took an interesting turn.

After 9/11, I noticed I’d look at my phone exactly at 9:11.

These days, my dog gets up at EXACTLY 5:30AM.

Not 5:29 or 5:31 but 5:30.

I feed him, walk him and make coffee. No need to even TRY to go back to sleep.

I’ll never forget that day. I will always remember. I closed a deal with the new Krispy Kreme that had just opened south of Pittsburgh. Of course, it was early in the morning because donuts is what they do. I was tired and headed back to my apartment at the time. My Mom calls and asks if I’m watching TV? I said no. She said turn it on.

My girlfriend at the time and I drove to see the memorial that had been constructed by locals and others that had gathered. Shanksville is not far away. It was perhaps the most eerie feeling I’ve ever experienced. I remember it being really windy. We weren’t allowed to walk to the crash site. However, there was a wall that had tributes and more flowers that you could ever imagine. If you didn’t cry when experiencing this, you weren’t human. I haven’t been there since. Really don’t want to. It’s changed a lot since then..
