The Indian hit me up for $20 saying he will pay back tomorrow. I know he gets paid tomorrow so it should be all good.

As long as people are respectful in these matters it's ok, no one gets beaten with a baseball bat (in very rare cases this actually improves one's appearance) or has acid dripped in their eyes or anything like that.

Money is good and I really want to play poker later when the games are good so I'm going to start aggressively looking for my own digs, should be good.

Nothing. He's my homie until proven otherwise, dude hasn't missed a day of work and I respect that. The $500 recruiting bonus if he keeps it up will more than cover the juice.

I know where he works and lives so if he doesn't pay up I'll have Wwheng pay him a visit.

Setting up an appointment to view this place in Fairmount, the nicest part of Philly. $1k a month, but pool, fitness center, all kinds of stuff. Could work. I'm only going to take a place there, Fishtown or Center City.

Plus, they're the only ones to get back to me, probably because I'm OLD.

The Indian is fired, sucks. Dude showed up every day on time for two weeks then leaves all his shit on the bus. My company isn't that particular about many things but attendance, especially during training, is one of them.

Still my buddy though.

For him, I don't mind the $75 hit between the $25 he borrowed and filling up my spare phone for him to use. That's all I can do though, really hope things work out.

God speed, Papi.

Steve, where I am in upstate NY, you could live 10 minutes from a full service casino, 5 minutes from a lake, and plenty of employment.

You can also get a 1 bedroom for $800.

Maybe leaving that area (if it’s allowable) may be an option in general.

@stevek this might be a really good deal for you to get out of that horrific city.

Damn that’s cheap.

I'll check it out. What city you in?

Steveys gotta stay employed though, no?
Yeah I'll probably stay where I'm at, but shit with twenty plus years in the mortgage industry it's worth checking to see if someone wants to pay me more than $17/hr.

Got no car though, so options are limited.

Stevie this is the top priority on where you live. Can't move without a having a job If I was in your position if staying in Philly would reside in cheapest place possible. Work lots and go play poker lots (as long as on +side). Place for laying for your to rest with not much time spent there. And not talking about staying in shelter! I would have to get out of that environment. Like if off alcohol not ever going into a bar.

Yeah Monk I've lived in the shitty parts of Philly for as little as $250/mth where I was mugged multiple times and jumped so that is not happening again!

Cheapest place in safest area is priority!

Easier said than done, been scouring all the rooms for rent sites!

Definitely keeping the job unless I find a better one! Been two months and haven't missed one minute of work!

I miss Peanut!!!!

The benefits are usually very good. Depending on the job, the state gaming board requires a background check and to pass a drug test. I would even look at Chester, they probably run shuttles to Philly.

Might very well be.

After more thought I decided to move forward with the 3k down $900/month Fishtown option if it is still available. That's actually pretty cheap for out there, and the proximity to the casino for zipping over after work, the area, and all utilities, etc being included make it worth it, plus getting back to working out with the gym etc. I'd still have plenty of money, and if I take a big poker downswing I can find other things to do.

I reached out to them to see if I can still take it and move in as early as tomorrow.

Doubt that'll happen, so Stevie's estimated moving date is a week from today, fingers crossed.
