Yes playing acoustic and electric are totally different. Probably a combination of both but my guess is you simply aren't pressing down hard enough. Almost every beginning player does this by the way.

Chalk it up to the amount of time you've been playing.

I'm going with:

Your fingers relative to the frets. Chords just aren't clean consistently.

Don't over think it. You're doing great.

If you haven't already learned how to play one of your favorite songs yet, I'd do that soon. Get those chords sounding shiny.

Then start singing along with the chords.

Doing two things at once will really strengthen those fingers.

already learned alot of songs. ( pieces of songs actually)
couple recently:
RCHP "Soul to Squeaze" intro
Eric Clapton " Tears In Heaven" only a piece of it
Pink Floyd " Wish you were here"

as far as singing and playing:lol: not even close
trying to rig up something on drum kit with pedal attached to snare.
keeping beat with feet while playing is much easier

Oh yeah I hear you there

I tap my foot like crazy when I play guitar

You don't need a kick drum for that

It's settled then. Expecting vocals on next video.

:handshake:

well done senco

I can't play the acoustic worth a shit unless I put skinny strings on it.

I'll usually take shortcuts and play simple triads or half-barre chords. People will comment on my "cool Hendrix-y tone" when I'm really just trying to save my wrist.

Sounded good Mr. Senco. My untrained ear enjoyed the strumming.
