Trying to sell a couple of my bikes on Marketplace. People so far have either sent a lowball offer without even asking anything about the bike (or you know, asking to see the fokkin bike), or they simply send "Lowest price?" like this goofball. Why do people do this. They 100% don't even want the bike.

The other end of the spectrum - I couldn't sell gently used 12000btu window ac units for $75. Serious LG units have 2 of them. Didnt even get low ball asks. At that rate ill just donate and take a $250 charitable for each..

When I was a kid I remember apples were soft and chewy and tasty, now when I bite into one it's like biting into a bland plastic. Is it just me? Is it bad recollection and they were always like this?

Commercial apples you buy in grocery stores are mass produced now,coming from a grafted branch that has been attached to root stock.This procedure(basically cloning) produces a reliable product for the farmer.Try to source out heirloom/heritage apples,these apples will be grown from a tree from the 1950s.I use to buy a lot of fresh apples for the bakery for apple fritters but would buy the cheapest available.I have an apple tree on my property that produces great apples but when I have to buy them from a store I buy Cosmic Crisp.
