The news from Washington already badmouthing Sochi. Inferior hotel rooms, yellow drinking water, dangerous snowboarding(?) course.
I'm so surprised that this is the perspective they would take that there isn't words to describe how shocked I am  They even showed a guy fixing tiles on a sidewalk:yikes:

I do like they idea of making snowboarding dangerous. The half pipe thing is a waste. snowboarding= new bobsleigh

apparently there's an event where they have to jump over 5 imaginary school buses. :dunno: this according to the news. And a few already got injured. this is why the red headed fuck is pulling out. Doesn't want to risk injuring himself and being unable to compete in his ass pipe specialty.

Smart, it's all about marketing his brand. Gotta think of the future.

American "journalism" has always liked to depict Russia in some kind of unsanitary, disrespectful, gloomy light. I don't know if this started with the red scare or when. :dunno:

I know the venues are supposed to be top notch. Not that I'm a big fan of Russian slimeball oligarch capitalists. They robbed the country there like they do here.

It is funny to hear them say how Putin afforded contracts to his cronies. As if thats not exactly what happens here. Only there is 100 Putins here.

I remember in '86 when Turner broadcast and I guess helped develop the Goodwill games in Moscow. Thats the only time I remember US media present USSR/Russia in a respectful manner.

looks like Canada lucked out, St Louie replacing Stamkos. Not that it will be enough but he should have been the 1st on the list not last.

+1

Pretty insulting for him to be treated like a bench player. Guy won the Art Ross at 37 and is prolly the best small forward to ever play the game, along with Theo Fleury.

I hope he kills it on the big ice.
