A coworker from a few years ago got in a boating accident. He was in critical condition for 18 days. His sister set up a gofundme and was giving daily updates, they were mostly positive like he was getting better.

Then yesterday she said final update. He has passed.

Sad stuff.

'On March 7th, my brother, JB was involved in a severe boating accident that left him with life-threatening injuries.

He sustained major trauma to his head and abdomen, including multiple brain bleeds, a shattered pelvis, and a severe open abdominal wound, along with many other serious injuries. He is currently in the ICU on life support and in a medically induced coma while doctors work around the clock to stabilize him. He recently had a bolt placed in his skull to monitor pressure on his brain, and his condition remains extremely critical.

Right now, our family is holding on to hope and asking for prayers for healing, strength, and a miracle.'
