Just recently got into pickling. Apparently all sorts of complicated ways you can go but this way is super easy.

1 Cup Vinegar (White or Apple Cider)
1 Cup Water
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp salt
1 tsp cumin seeds

Bring to a simmer, stir til sugar and salt are dissolved.

Pour over veggies in jar. Let sit at room temp for a bit, then refrigerate overnight.

Glorious pickled veggies in the morning!

Make sure the vinegar you used is at least 5%,some of the cheaper house brands and dollar store crap is 4 % or less and are not suitable for pickling.
Pickling and canning is a lost art.
5% fortunately!

My man! That's epic haha. Have any brine recipe recommendations? Have you messed around with fermenting too?

Here are some of the recipes I have used, usually get them from friends or family.Only fermenting I have done is beer making but it was too much work.
Haven’t canned/pickled for a few years but I put in a big garden this year due to the uncertainty of our trade wars and probably will get back into it
