In January 2021 there was an Ebola outbreak in Guinea. The scientist traced it back to a strain from an outbreak in 2016. They know it couldn't have been in the wild because it would have mutated, so the most likely conclusion is that the virus was dormant inside a recovered person, activated and spread 5 years later.

There are thousands of people that have recovered from Ebola in Africa, just in Guinea alone more than 17,000.

If we see more reactivation, one day we could have a pan-African or worldwide Ebola pandemic boys.
