Looking at 21 yrs max in prison but I read somewhere that they might have him charged on two crimes, so he could get two 21 yr terms. Or the govt might tweak the law a bit.

I'd just put him in a room full of the family of the victims.

i keep thinking that has to be a misprint. even 42 years is absurd. if it's 21 years, then as cold as this sounds to say, norway will deserve whatever he does when he gets out.

But seriously, how rough could Norwegian prisons be?
 
Norway's homicide rate is 0.6 per 100,000 inhabitants.
USA's is 5.0 per 100,000 inhabitants.
That's like 8 times more.

This shows that harsher prison sentencing, capital punishment and gun ownership is not a deterrent of crime.

Yes, but the numbers are that way cause the homicides are committed by repeat offenders! So if the offender was relived of living another homicide wouldn't have taken place! You and your protractor take that!

No, what it shows is that the vast majority of homicides committed in the USA are black on black crimes.

I tend to agree, but there are quite alot of Americans that won't allow stats to influence their beliefs regarding crime and punishment.
